Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: Assessing Impact, Evaluating Management Options

One-third of all women experience heavy menstrual bleeding at some point in their lives, which contributes to reduced quality of life, iron deficiency anemia, lost time from work or school, and increased clinical burden. This supplement provides case-based examples to help clinicians choose a management strategy that is appropriate for the individual patient and reflects cultural sensitivities and the patient’s desire for fertility.
