Educational Objectives?

At the end of this symposium, attendees will be able to:

  1. Describe the mechanism of HPV-induced oncogenesis and the data to date on the prevention of cervical precancer (CIN3 and AIS) though HPV vaccination.
  2. Discuss the burden of HPV associated cancers of the penis, anus and oral pharynx (including respiratory papillomatosis) and the data on primary prevention by HPV vaccination of HPV infection and precancer in these areas.
  3. Describe the burden of HPV associated benign genital warts, vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia (VIN), vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia (VAIN) and cancers of the vulva and vagina and the data on primary prevention by HPV vaccination.
